About Kikyo Shingen Mochi
Kikyo Shingen Mochi is a souvenir confectionery produced and sold by Kikyo-ya, a confectionery manufacturer in Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a confectionery in which three slices of Gyuhi are buried in Kinako (soybean flour) in a polyethylene container wrapped in plastic that resembles a furoshiki (wrapping cloth), and eaten with the accompanying molasses.
Kikyo Shingen Mochi Style Fluffy Souffle
The “Kikyo Shingen Mochi Style Fluffy Souffle” is a new kind of sweet that recreates the famous confectionary of Yamanashi Prefecture, Kikyo Shingen Mochi, in the form of a souffle. The “fluffy” texture soufflé made with glutinous rice flour is not only flavored with “black honey,” an essential ingredient in Kikyo Shingen Mochi, but is also filled with kinako whipped cream. In addition, the soufflé is filled with kinako whipped cream and surrounded by a sauce containing kokumitsu in four places to express the rich flavor of Kikyo Shingen Mochi.
The packaging also pays homage to “Kikyo Shingen Mochi”. The package also pays homage to “Kikyo Shingen Mochi” and is decorated with a “Kikyo patterned furoshiki (wrapping cloth)” to give it a Japanese taste.
