Pancake specialty restaurant Butter and the anime “Evangelion” have collaborated. The first menu item will be available at select Butter locations from April 12 (Tuesday) to May 31 (Tuesday), 2022.
Pancake Specialty Butter x “Evangelion” Part 1
The popular animated series “Evangelion” began with the broadcast of the TV series “Neon Genesis Evangelion” in 1995, and “Shin Evangelion the Movie”, the latest in the new movie series, was released in 2021, attracting a great deal of attention.
The first collaboration includes character-inspired pancakes, drinks, and novelty items based on the Evangelion story. Visitors can enjoy the world of Evangelion while savoring the authentic flavor that only a pancake specialty restaurant can offer.
The most notable item is the “Ayanami Rei White Tower Soufflé Pancakes,” a three-tiered fluffy pancake topped with fluffy whipped cream and a refreshing homemade blue lemonade jelly as an accent.
Asuka’s Puppet Pancakes” are popular fluffy soufflé pancakes with raspberry-flavored whipped cream and plenty of strawberries in the image of Shikinami Asuka Langley. The cute puppet monaka decorated in the center of the pancake is a key point.
Curry from “Nerf HQ” and other meals are also on the menu.
In addition to pancakes, the lineup includes a number of food items such as eggs Benedict inspired by the 3rd Village, tomato pasta with poached eggs cracked open with Longinus’ spear, and homemade curry that resembles Nerf headquarters.
Cream soda & latte art inspired by Shinji, Asuka and Rei
Also on the drink menu is a Calpis cream soda with an image of Ayanami Rei, as well as cream sodas with motifs of Shinji and Asuka. The Abeno Hoop store will also feature latte artwork of Evangelion characters.
Popular “Butter Premium Sandwich” in “Eva Color
In addition, the popular “Butter Premium Sandwich,” made with luxurious Hokkaido butter, is now available in Eva’s “Eva colors” of purple and rouge. The butter cream sandwiches will be available in two flavors, purple sweet potato and strawberry.
During the period, customers who order any of the collaboration menu items will receive a total of five types of coasters and an original can badge. The collaboration between butter and “Evangelion” is scheduled to continue with the second and third installments, so be sure to look forward to it.
