Since its opening in 1935, the Royal Hotel has been loved by local residents as “Osaka’s Guest House” for many years. This time, under the theme of “retro cute,” the hotel will offer a buffet of retro sweets reminiscent of the good old Showa period.
A diverse lineup of retro sweets
Colorful colors and retro-inspired sweets adorn the buffet table. Visitors can enjoy a variety of 25 kinds of menu items, including “Flower Butter Cake” with a retro Showa-era feel, “Pudding a la mode” of the royal road, colorful “Colorful Creamy Soda,” cool “Colorful Ring Jelly,” and many more.
Old-fashioned food menu is also available.
The food menu, which is offered along with the sweets, also features nostalgic tastes. In addition to old-fashioned dishes such as “Showa potato salad” and “nostalgic Showa macaroni au gratin,” the menu also includes such classic favorites as “Rihga Royal Hotel’s curry rice” and “Rihga Royal Hotel’s mixed juice.
