Rihga Royal Hotel (Osaka) offers a variety of themed afternoon teas that change with the changing of the seasons. This year’s theme is “Autumn Walkway,” offering a tasteful afternoon tea that is like strolling through a Japanese garden decorated with autumn leaves.
A variety of sweets and savories to create an elegant moment
A variety of sweets and savories with different themes for each tier adorn the drop-shaped afternoon tea stand. For example, the theme of the upper tier is “Autumn Night. The “Blackcurrant and White Grape Julep” represents a full moon and a rabbit shining in the clear night sky, and the “Cream Cheese Mousse and Apricot Julep” is inspired by tsukimi dango (dumplings for moon viewing).
In addition, the middle section is filled with autumnal delicacies such as pumpkin, chestnuts, and persimmons, while the lower section is inspired by the autumn leaves in a karesansui (dry landscape garden).
