SEIKO Astron will release a collaboration watch featuring the brand’s image character, Shohei Otani, in limited quantities from November 11, 2022 (Friday).
Limited-quantity model commemorating the first accomplishment in 104 years
Seiko Astron’s “Nexter” watch series, characterized by its solid case, high legibility, and stress-free wearability, now features a limited edition model by Shohei Otani, who in August 2022 will become the first man in 104 years to achieve double-digit wins and home runs.
The coloring reflects the color combination of the Los Angeles Angels visitor’s uniform worn by Shohei Ohtani when he set the record, with the team’s symbolic red color standing out against a gray base.
The body of the watch has been boldly stripped down to a sophisticated, sporty design. The case and bracelet are made of rust-resistant, lightweight titanium for a comfortable fit.
Special specifications with attention to detail
In the subdial at the 9 o’clock position, Shohei Otani’s number “17” is laid out in the same font as his uniform. The bezel is decorated with the city code for the “UTC-8” zone, and the city code “ANA,” which indicates the Angels’ home base, is displayed in a special red color.
Also signed & serial numbered to 1700 on the back.
In addition to Shohei Otani’s signature, the back of the watch bears the words “Limited Edition,” which signifies the limited edition, and the serial numbers from 1/1700 to 1700/1700, which are the limited quantities associated with the “17,” the player’s number.
