Expo ’70 Commemorative Park will hold a summer illumination event, “Expo ’70 Illumination Night Expo 2022 SUMMER,” from August 11 (Thursday, national holiday) to 21 (Sunday), 2022.

The concept of the summer illumination at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park is “SDGs for Everyone, Let’s Create a Bright Future Together! is the concept behind the summer illumination of Expo ’70 Commemorative Park. During the period, the area around the Tower of the Sun will be illuminated with searchlights in the 17 colors used in the SDGs logo.
In addition, the Japanese garden’s lotus pond will be illuminated by a fusion of Japanese-style sentiment and state-of-the-art production lighting to create a cool evening of light. The famous garden, completed with the best of Japanese landscaping technology, and the illumination using digital technology will be presented together for a fantastic 10-day event.
Asian food stalls with beer garden at the Expo will be held at the same time.
The “Asian Food Stalls with Expo Beer Garden,” a gourmet event focusing on food stalls from the Asian region, will also be held at the same time. The event will be held at the Peace Rose Garden, where visitors can enjoy a variety of gourmet food stalls that will whet their appetite even in the hot summer.

*Parking is only available in the central parking lot after 16:30 for nighttime visitors.
Adults 260 yen and elementary/junior high school students 80 yen are required to enter the Nature Park.
