Hotel New Otani Osaka’s popular “Super Sweets Buffet” is now available in a summer-only version using summer fruits that will make you feel like you are in a tropical resort. The theme of the buffet is “Peach, Mango and Melon” and you can enjoy a variety of sweets to your heart’s content.
Fine cakes “Super Series” at the buffet
Among the many sweets available, I would like to focus on the Hotel New Otani’s signature “Super Series” cakes. The “New Extra Super Mango Shortcake,” which is normally sold at the hotel’s cake store for over 3,800 yen per cut, and the “Super Melon Shortcake,” which is made from muskmelons with a sugar content of 14 degrees or higher, are the ultimate shortcakes that have been carefully selected. You can enjoy them in a buffet style.
Limited Edition Sweets from Pierre Hermé Paris
Pierre Hermé Paris, a leader in the pastry world, has also introduced a limited edition sweet called “Exotique”. Mango, coconut, and pineapple are combined with thick bavarois and moist dacquoise to create a literally exotic taste.
Other healthy menu items include “Kuzumochi Melon Apricot Pudding” made with “Kuzumochi Lactic Acid Bacteria,” which is said to help regulate the balance of intestinal microflora, “Mango Soy Milk Souffle Cake,” a healthy sweet made with soy milk, and the “New Tokyo Soy Meat Burger” made with soy meat. The mocktail “Virgin Peach Mojito” (extra charge) matches the refreshing sweetness of white peach puree with the coolness of fresh mint.
