Hotel Universal Port, the official hotel of Universal Studios Japan (USJ), will sell a limited number of mystery-solving horror rooms called “Chronus: Prison of Destiny” from March 4 (Fri.) to July 31 (Sun.), 2022.
Hotel Universal Port’s 8th “Mystery Solving Horror Room” Accommodation Plan
The “Mystery Solving Horror Room” series, which started in 2015, is a limited-edition accommodation plan that allows you to solve mysteries and experience fear in rooms that have been switched to special event-only interiors. The seventh event, “THE BLOOD FLOOD: Bloody Paintings (Messages),” which is currently being held at the Hotel Universal Port Vita in the Sister Hotel, sold out within 10 minutes of the start of reservations, and is popular as a unique project that allows guests to experience both puzzle solving and horror.
Try to solve the mystery at the ruins of an abandoned prison.
This time, the eighth installment of the series, the rooms are set in the ruins of an abandoned and eerie prison. Guests take on the role of a clockmaker, the protagonist of the story, and try to solve the mystery of the “old clock with mysterious magic power” in the ruins of the prison by using their own techniques.
With chains and fences that remind you of a prison, curtains that look like they are covered in blood, and other creepy decorations that scare and thrill you, the room is filled with walls and objects that hide various riddles and clues to the story. Use your own smartphone or tablet to unravel the mysterious story.
Story
A watchmaker receives a request from an old man to repair an old watch, and goes to the designated place. The old man asks him to repair an old clock, and the clockmaker goes to the designated place, but finds himself in the ruins of an abandoned and eerie prison. He is suddenly fascinated by an “old clock with mysterious magical powers” that plays tricks on people, and encounters a hidden mystery. I want to return from the valley of deep sorrow caused by the distortion of time and space… Will he be able to unravel the bizarre mystery and uncover the real culprit?
