The “2023 Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival” will be held on August 8, 2023 (Tuesday) in the water area off Otsu Port, Shiga Prefecture. Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival returns after 4 years
The 2023 theme of Lake Biwa’s summer tradition “Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival” is “Summer Cigarism – Revival of Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival”. Along with about 10,000 fireworks, we will send out a new travel proposal called “Siga Rhythm” that allows you to experience the flow of time and life in Shiga, which has slowly progressed with nature, history, and culture, including Lake Biwa, and adjust the rhythm of your heart.
At the venue, in addition to regular seats, there is a wide variety of paid seats, such as box seats, pair seats for couples, and premier seats with meals. You can create more wonderful memories in a special place.
The year 2023 will also mark the 55th anniversary of the sisterhood relationship between Shiga Prefecture and the state of Michigan in the United States, and the 40th anniversary of the friendship relationship with Hunan Province in China.
A Wide Variety of Shiga Fireworks Festivals
In addition to the Lake Biwa Grand Fireworks Festival, Shiga Prefecture has many other attractive fireworks festivals. From July to September, elaborate fireworks festivals are held throughout the prefecture, such as the famous Ogoto Onsen Fireworks Festival, the Otsu Shiga Fireworks Festival, where fireworks are set off from the lake 200m off the beach, and the Kogaryu Ninnin Daihanabi Fireworks at the Kogaryu Ninja Village, so be sure to check them out.
