Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka will sell Maritozzo as a new sweet at Cafe Belle, the hotel’s café and gourmet store, from July 1 (Thursday) to August 31 (Tuesday), 2021.
Maritozzo with pistachio and cherry or citrus flavors
The new “Maritozzo” comes in three varieties, including the standard “Plain” filled with fresh cream.
The most noteworthy is the “Pistachio,” which is a perfect combination of savory pistachios and sweet and sour cherries. The fluffy brioche dough that forms the base is coated with cherry syrup to give it a sweet and sour taste. The brioche dough is filled with a smooth cream with white chocolate and pistachios. The surface of the cream is coated with finely crushed pistachios to add an accent to the texture.
The “Citrus” is also available, with its sweet and sour citrus aroma perfect for summer. The brioche dough is coated with Macedonia syrup and filled with fresh cream and sour cream. The brioche is topped with orange, grapefruit and lime for a refreshing taste.
