The St. Regis Afternoon Tea with TANEYA, a collaboration with Shiga’s long-established confectioner TANEYA, will be offered at the St. Regis Hotel Osaka. The event will run from Thursday, September 1 to Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Collaboration of “Japanese and Western” Afternoon Tea
The St. Regis Hotel Osaka has collaborated with the long-established confectionery shop “Tanaya” to offer an afternoon tea that blends Japanese and Western flavors. In addition to fresh sweets, guests can enjoy sweets and savories arranged from the famous confections of “Tanaya”.

Afternoon tea starts with a welcome drink in a bowl of matcha green tea base with elements of cocktails in yuzu & ginger syrup. The plate is lined with beautiful seasonal sweets such as “Taneya Castella,” “Chestnut Kinton,” and “Mont Blanc Daifuku.
Fukumi Tenpei with ganache, red bean paste, and walnuts” is an arrangement of Taneya’s signature pastry “Fukumi Tenpei,” a savory mid-sized cake with ganache, red bean paste, and walnuts. The “Rose Jelly,” inspired by the rose loved by Mrs. Astor, the mother of the founder of the St. Regis, is served in a Japanese container.
