W Osaka, a hotel operated by Marriott International, has teamed up with PIERRE HERMÉ PARIS to launch a dessert course called “CHEEKY” at the “MIXup” pastry bar on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

The art pastry bar “Mix Up” is a new project by W Osaka and Pierre Hermé Paris. It is a new project by W Osaka and Pierre Hermé Paris, offering a unique and creative menu that fuses the originality of each. While watching the delicate handiwork of the pastry chef over the counter, you can enjoy sweets that look like art and parfaits with various textures, along with original blended tea, coffee made by a barista, and original cocktails.
Located on the first floor of the hotel, “Mix Up” is a street store facing Midosuji, the main street of Osaka City. It is also easy to enter from the outside.
“A new kind of dessert course like “kappo cuisine
The signature dessert course “Cheeky” is an eight-course meal that includes a welcome drink, six sweets, and a light meal. The patissier will prepare a variety of elaborate sweets right in front of you and serve them at the counter, just like kappo cuisine, which is said to have originated in Osaka.
Warm chocolate cake with seven different sauces and toppings, strawberry cappellini with strawberry sorbet, balsamic vinegar, and basil, and other sweets based on Pierre Hermé Paris recipes and delicate techniques, but with completely new combinations.
Some of them are sorbets that are made to the guest’s liking while talking with the patissier, or menus with a look that makes you smile, offering a new kind of taste experience that expresses the free ideas of the patissier.
