Mr. Donut has announced that it will release “misdo meets Gion Tsujiri Part 1,” jointly developed with the Uji tea specialty store “Gion Tsujiri,” in limited quantities starting March 25, 2022.

The first “misdo meets Gion Tsujiri”, now in its sixth year, will feature Pon de Ring Nama, which was released in January 2013 as the “Pon de Ring 10th Anniversary Doughnut” and has been a great success. Two types of “Nama Pon de Ring Nama” with a new soft yet chewy and soft texture are now available!
Nama Pon de Uji Matcha Kuromitsu Kinako is “for matcha, for raw, for chasing honey.” First, take a bite. After you take a bite, you can enjoy the change of taste by topping it with black soybean paste!
And hojicha doughnuts!
In addition, “hojicha” doughnuts will be available this year. This will be the first time Mister Donut has jointly developed hojicha sweets with Gion Tsujiri. The “Uji Hojicha Mochifuwa,” kneaded with Gion Tsujiri’s Uji hojicha tea, comes in two varieties. The donut dough has a soft and fluffy texture, combining fluffy yeast dough and mochi mochi. The “Uji Hojicha Mochifuwa Whipped” is made by kneading Uji hojicha into the dough and filling it with whipped hojicha, chocolate, and hojicha honey. The “Uji Hojicha Mochifuwa Warabimochi” also has Uji hojicha kneaded into the doughnut dough, and is filled with warabimochi filling and Hokkaido azuki beans, and finished with white chocolate and hojicha chocolate.
