A special exhibition where you can enjoy the “world of food replicas”
This exhibition is a special exhibition that focuses on “food replicas”, which are also known as a unique culture from Japan. We will introduce you to the world of food replicas that look just like the real thing.

A panel exhibition that considers “Japan’s sample food culture”
At the venue, panels were displayed to explain simple questions such as “When did food replicas first come into being?” and “What role do they play for customers and stores?” You can learn from scratch about Japan’s unique food sample culture, which is integrated into everyday life.
Introducing the production process of “Japanese confectionery samples”
Another attraction is that you can learn about the process of making Japanese confectionery samples that are actually used in Toraya. Focusing on four types: fluffy baked sweets, smooth and glossy mizu-yokan, kneaded-yokan with a view of Mt. Step-by-step instructions with videos, etc. We approach “devise to let you feel deliciousness”.
Lifelike! food sample collection
In addition to items that are actually used in Toraya, such as shaved ice and oshiruko, food samples such as fruits, vegetables, and seafood are also on display. You can see up close samples that are so elaborately made that they can be mistaken for the real thing, such as sweet potatoes with roots and hairy crabs that reproduce even the fine hairs.
